Spring in Toronto

Spring is here and I could not be more excited. It's so nice to spend more time outside enjoying the fresh air, seeing some greenery pop up, and basking in the sunshine.  I managed to stay active throughout the winter, but nothing seems to beat the feeling of going for a run outdoors. I've been for a few runs since I have been able to manage the temperature, and can't seem to get enough of the waterfront views. Call me sheltered, but before I started running and cycling, I had no idea we had beaches scattered throughout the city! It kinda feels like I am in a different city - its my little escape.

Probably one of the most photographed "beaches" in Toronto. Sugar Beach is adorable with its pink umbrellas overlooking Lake Ontario.

I kind of put juicing on the back burner throughout the cooler months, but the Spring has me craving kale and all things green. I picked up the green detox juice from Fresh on a Sunday after a fun night out on the town ;)

These donuts/macrons/whatever you want to call them just "sprung" up this spring at Delysees. How adorable are they?

With Mother's Day just around the corner, I decided that I was going to take my mom to see the National Ballet's Giselle. You can use promo code GISELLE to receive up to 50% -$99 seats in the Grand Ring and Orchestra (regular up to $203) Expires May 8th, Valid on Giselle performances from June 15-18th.

Whenever there is a change in seasons, I have a sudden urge to chop my hair. I headed to Medulla & Co Yorkville to freshen up the ends.

Patio season is among us! I enjoyed some bubbly and shrimp at Colette on a Friday after work. Even if I'm still wearing a jacket, I am okay with it.

Now, we just wait for cherry blossom season! :)

Michael and I have made a point to explore new places, instead of constantly hitting up our tried and true favourites. After work on Friday, we decided to brave the cold and hit the patio at Colette for a little after work cocktail and apps. It was a little chilly for us but I think we're both just happy we are able to sit outside without actually freez-ing.

On Saturday evening we went to Pizza Libretto (if you haven't tried it, you must) and celebrated our good friends birthdays with a night on the town. I spent most of Sunday in serious lounge mode consisting of several episodes of Scandal. Am I the only addict here? I only started watching the series on Netflix a week ago and proud/embarassed to say I'm already on season 5.

When I wasn't in my pjs watching Scandal, I threw this outfit on. I always get so confused during the change in seasons. One minute its hot, the next it's COLD. I like to carry a light coat around to act as my security blanket (I hate being cold!)

Sometimes life gets in the way of doing things you truly love. Not posting for so long made me sad, and knew I had to find a way to incorporate it back into my life. Without going into details today, I'm back and plan to post regularly from this day forward. (Bloggers honour ;)

If you know me, you know that I LOVE sunglasses.  I recently lost my beloved Karen Walker Super Duper's, and was looking for a pair of sunnies that I could wear on the regular. (Yes, call me crazy but I think there are certain sunglasses that just don't quite look "right" with some outfits) I had been eyeing both the Celine Caty and Audrey's for a while, but couldn't quite take the plunge. Not until I came across them on

They had every style imaginable (and I secretly wanted them all!) I ultimately decided on the black Caty's, and so glad I did. I'm not a big "cat eye" fan as I don't think I have the face for it, but these Celine's seem to look good on everyone. I'm happy to say that I have found my new "go-to's." What do you think? What are your fave sunnies? I'm always on the search for different styles and would love to hear in the comments below <3
