Top and Skirt: Zara / Bag: Prada

I'm so excited to announce that I have partnered with The Holt Renfrew Centre for the Show Us Your Look Contest. Read on below for details on how to enter for a chance to win a $1,500 shopping spree to these stores :) Now that's my kind of contest ;)

As someone that spends most of her time divided between Bloor-Yorkville and King West, I often find myself  galavanting through the Holt Renfrew Centre visiting my favourite shops (let's just say lunch breaks can be a little dangerous).  There are SO many great stores that are part of the centre and the ease of having the centre accessible through the TTC is just the cherry on top of the cake. If you haven't been to the centre yet, I'd suggest making a day of it. They have all my favourite shops in such close proximity to one another, and the Holt's Cafe makes the perfect mid-shop pick-me-up.

Here's how to enter:
1. Take a photo of yourself wearing any of Holt Renfrew Centre's retailers (you can view all their stores here
2. You have an option to submit your photo one of three ways:
A. Submit the photo of your outfit through the Contest App on HRC's Facebook page
B. Submit your photo on Instagram with the hashtag #alwaystrending, mention the stores from which your outfit is from and mention @holtrenfrewcentre
C. Submit your photo on Twitter with the hashtag #alwaystrending, mention the stores from which your outfit it from and mention @HRCtoronto in your tweet
3. And most importantly! Keep in mind that the contest ends on Wednesday September 9th, so get snappin' ladies and gents and show us what you got!

I am so excited to see your outfits :) Good luck everyone!

Over the last few years, I've become more and more aware of how important it is to protect your skin from the sun. Let's be real, I still I enjoy a little sun tan sesh from time to time but I am happy to say that my lobster days are long behind me. #imagrownupnow

On top of all the obvious health benefits of suncreen, it's no surprise that sunscreen is the number one thing you can do to prevent the early signs of aging. And yes, the concern is real (this may have been brought on by a 10x magnified mirror showing fine lines, followed by a quarter life freak out). Without going into details, I've started to realize that youth doesn't last forever... sigh.

With the summer in full swing, I was looking for a face sunscreen that didn't break me out or leave me oily. I've tried quite a few drugstore brands that unfortunately don't react well with my sensitive skin. I must have been sending some kind of signal because Murad Canada kindly gifted me their Environmental Shield travel set to sample. I am happy to report that I have been using their products for several weeks now without any breakouts or irritation AND! Drum roll please... my skin already feels brighter and more radiant. And let's be honest, I'm also feeling a little better from a psychological stand point knowing that my face is protected ;)

Keeping in line with my current concerns, they also included their Age Reform travel set. Yes, I realize that I am not fifty, but I am also aware that using anti-aging products in your twenties can be most effective in maintaining the skin you have now. Needless to say, these products have me hooked and I plan on using them not only in the summer, but all year round. What are your skincare essentials? Would love to hear them in the comments below!
