Hi all! If you're from Toronto and anything like me, you've been hoping & praying for that warm weather to take up permanent residence in the 6ix. I find it quite difficult to style outfits with a giant parka on me, and can't wait for the temps to start rising. It's hard to stay optimistic when the weather channel calls for chilly temperates well into late April, but being the glass half full kinda girl I am, I have hope. I couldn't wait to style this skirt. If I can't get the real flowers blossoming, I might as well rock them to bring on good vibes.

Hope you all have a wonderful week! Keep that head up - brighter days lay ahead.

Trench coats and pencil skirts are two main staples for my spring work wardrobe. I had planned this outfit post when the weather was nice and mild. Needless to say, I had no idea old man winter was going to grace us with yet another appearance. Despite the cold, I was really looking forward to wearing this trench, so much so that I decided to brave the great Canadian outdoors. (And yes, I was slightly cold).

Here's to spring dreaming… xo A

Canada, we got this. The snow is finally melting and I am delighted that spring is just around the corner.

I have to be honest, I've spent the majority of the winter bundled up in my parka with the occasional two pairs of pants layered (I'm not even remotely embarrassed sharing this). I had the same go-to boots on rotation;  UGG winter boots and my red Hunters (with, might I add, two pairs of heavy h e a v y socks). My little feetsies needed all the love and warmth they could get.

One of the many perks that warmer weather brings is more wardrobe options. When most people think booties, they tend to think that they are good for autumn or a mild winter. I bought these boots a few weeks ago and plan to wear them from spring into summer with girly floral dresses.  I was looking for Chloe - esque inspired booties and was excited to spot these on sale at Aldo for 50% off.

Hope you all have a wonderful start to the week!

The snow is melting and Spring is finally in the air! Perhaps I'm a little overly optimistic but I think its fair to say we Canadians have turned a major corner (knock on wood!) I'm absolutely thrilled to see the temps rising, and I couldn't be more excited. I've pushed my parka to the back of my closet and have pulled out lots of layering pieces perfect for the transition from Winter to Spring. Blanket scarves are my go-to - they're ideal for layering without looking too bulky.

Hope you're all enjoying this beautiful weather! :)

When I was little, I absolutely hated pink. If you asked me what my least favourite colour was, it was pink. Even when I got older and started to appreciate the colour, I never found that it complimented my skin tone. Over the years, I've experimented with all different shades of pink and finally fell in love with blush pink - the shade that I find flatters my skin tone the most.

I was on the search for a blush pink coat for a while as I thought it would be the perfect transition coat from winter to spring. I had one requirement: it had to be a cocoon style. The trick to transitioning from winter to spring is all about layering. The relaxed fit of this jacket allows for layers to be piled up, or stripped down without looking like its too small or too big. This jacket was just what I was looking for, and under $100 to boot!

There is something so lovely about the combination of blush and gold - to me - it screams femininity. Small details like the the gold rim of my sunnies, my dainty gold ring, the gold hardware on my Louis, and my gold necklace from Liel & Lentz all seem to add the perfect finishing touches.

This post was created in partnership with Liel & Lentz. All opinions are my own.
