I think certain rules are made to be broken and in my mind, and, the whole "no white after labour day" is one of them. Just because its minus 20 doesn't mean you have to tuck those white jeans away. I like to pair them with classic winter staples to avoid looking too "summery." Here I've paired them with black OTK boots and a cozy poncho.

Happy Friday Everyone! Hope you all have a lovely weekend.

I have this thing for stripes and leopard. I don't know why - all I know is that its probably one of my favourite combinations. Both prints speak quite loudly, so I like to pair them with neutrals like this camo coat and dark blue jeans.

Hope you're all having a wonderful week.

I'm always in the mood for a basic black look. It's so easy to put together and can be transformed from day to night in a second. Just add pumps and a bold lip and you're all set for a night out on the town.

Happy Friday!

I love experimenting with different trends but when it comes down to it, my favourite outfits are always composed of basic items. I love this black rimmed hat - it adds a touch of flare to an otherwise simple outfit.

Hope you're all having a great week!

As of lately, the weather has been all over the place. Over the weekend, it was very mild (aka tolerable enough for exposed skin).  It was just mild enough to pull out my favourite coat. I have a variety of jackets, but I find myself rotating between jackets with a relaxed fit. The loose flow of this jacket allows for heavy layering, without feeling restricted.

Hope you're all having a wonderful week.

I am a strong believer that every woman should own a camel coat. It's such a versatile piece that you can dress up or down, and pair with anything. As I mentioned in my previous posts, I'm not a huge colour fan. Sure, I dabble in it from time to time but more often than not, I'm drawn back to my beloved neutrals.

Happy Friday! Hope you all have a wonderful weekend.

I took these photos over the weekend when it was teetering at a nice 0 degrees (aka I could expose my face without looking like I was suffering from shock). These past few days in Toronto have been extremely cold (for all you non-Torontonians, think -20).  It was such a nice change to not look like every other Torontonian with my Canada Goose and Ugg snow boots.

With that said, I only go outside if I absolutely have to. When I do, I question why I am living in this ice covered city. As much as I love Toronto, this cold is not fun.

Hope you're keeping warm!

summer to winter

I used to be of the mindset that once the leaves started turning colours, it was time to do a wardrobe rotation. One of my new years resolutions is to buy items I can wear repeatedly, rather than the next new trend. With that said, I'm also making an effort to buy staples that can be transitioned into the changing of seasons. I've layered this summer dress with a cozy knitted sweater, peacoat, and opaque tights for a winter appropriate outfit. Just because its minus 20 outside doesn't mean you have to say goodbye to that summer dress. I love finding new ways to wear things :)
