Have you ever wondered where the term "Canadian tuxedo" came from? Well my friends, look no further.

Crooner Bling Crosby was a huge lover of Levi's and was constantly rocking the denim on denim look. In 1951, he was denied entrance to the hotel because he was wearing denim. In the light of Crosby's treatment at the hotel, Levi's decided to make him a denim tuxedo jacket. There was even a special leather patch warning people to treat the wearer with respect. Cool, right?
I thought it was appropriate to celebrate Canadian Thanksgiving with a little Canadian flare. This look has the ability to go very wrong (google Justin and Britney circa 2001).

Here are some tips I like to keep in mind while experimenting with this trend:

1. Try different washes.
2. There should never be a 'denim on denim on denim' situation. Other words - keep it to two denim pieces.
3. Keep everything else fairly simple.
Hope all you Canadians had a lovely Thanksgiving :)
